College Interns will help steward Grace Midtown’s college ministry throughout the duration of the internship. They will have key roles and responsibilities for leading the summer college House Church, the freshman outreach at Georgia Tech, and generally preparing the college ministry for the fall semester. There will be 4-6 college interns. If you’re interested in learning about the ins-and-outs of college ministry and working with an awesome team, this is a great opportunity for you!
Local Missions Interns will serve as connection points between Grace Midtown and our local neighborhood of English Avenue, and will also assist House Churches and Partners in finding their unique contribution to God's healing and redemptive work in the world. Their responsibilities will include attending meetings and networking connections and partnerships for Westside initiatives, conducting case studies on the causes of poverty and exit strategies for English Avenue, the Westside, and greater Atlanta residents living below the poverty line. Interns will collaborate with community leaders to advance the needs of the residents, making connections with neighbors, and assisting with local agendas such as revitalizing neighborhood gardens and green spaces. Local Missions Interns will also support and foster the community of reconcilers and missional partners by coordinating community building gatherings and events.
If you like all things technical and also have a desire to use your gifts and talents to help make Sunday gatherings great, then this is the team for you. Main roles and responsibilities would be to assist the Production Director as needed on a weekly basis in the areas of audio/video/and lighting. This internship would also involve leading teams of volunteers on Sundays to execute the gatherings efficiently and effectively. This internship would have a focus on audio engineering, broadcasting, and video directing. Previous experience preferred but not expected.
A Kidtown intern supports the ministry of families being seen, known and loved as an essential part of our local body by building relationships with families, teaching kids, partnering with parents and leading caregivers.
Main intern responsibilities include facilitating trust-based, intimate and functional classrooms through small group teaching and large groups. Manage 3-25 kiddos weekly, gather and report anecdotal data, lead teams of caregivers, prepare curriculum and maintain a channel of communication between staff, caregivers and families.
Our hope for Kidtown interns is they grow in building kid-to-adult relationships, leading other adults and being good stewards of ministry to the local body. This is a great opportunity for college students interested in a career in children’s ministry as well as those interested in early childhood education or teaching.
